Granville Gardeners program and plant sale
The Granville Gardeners will host “Too Hot to Garden, Water Features to Cool Our Gardens” at 7 p.m. Monday, at the N.C. Cooperative Extension Granville County Center on Wall Street in Oxford.
The program, presented by Jamaica White of Logan’s nursery, will center on do-it-yourself water features for home gardeners.
The club’s annual Plant Festival will be held Sept. 14, on the front lawn of the county extension office.
Perennials, shrubs, ground covers, trees, blueberries and birdhouses will all be for sale, along with items such as jams, soaps and concrete garden art.
Funds raised from the sale will go toward an annual horticultural scholarship for a Granville County student, various community projects and the monthly programs and workshops presented at the extension center.
