The Sans Souci Literary Club held its December meeting at Henderson Country Club. Mrs. R. G. Young Jr. was in charge of the arrangements for the luncheon served to the 17 members present.

Young was also in charge of the program for the day. Christmas memories were shared by the group with voluntary participation. Emphasis was placed on how Christmas has been celebrated in the White House throughout the years.

The club also met in January at the home of Mrs. David Meekins. The hostess served a dessert with hot peach cider before the meeting was called to order by Mrs. Fred Wilson, president.

Mrs. Wayne Adcock presented the program. She spoke on Dorothy “Dolley” Payne Todd Madison, continuing the theme for the year of “First Ladies.”

After the program, a short business session was conducted by Wilson.

The next meeting will take place in February with Mrs. Callahan as hostess.
