Program honors Early High School students

Students who attend the Vance County Early High School were recently honored with a program entitled “Leading the Pack” at Vance-Granville Community College.

Words of praise were offered to the students by college president Dr. Stelfanie Williams; Vance County Schools superintendent Ronald E. Gregory; Deborah Brown, chairwoman of the college’s board of trustees; and Gloria White, chairwoman of the Vance County Board of Education.

Each student received a certificate of achievement and other gifts at the event.

The gifts were presented by Williams, Gregory, Dr. Angela Ballentine and Dr. Trixie Brooks. Ballentine serves as vice president of academic and student affairs at Vance-Granville. Brooks is an assistant superintendent for Vance County Schools.
