Seniors at Vance County Schools’ high schools took advantage of the College Application Week on Nov. 12-16 by registering online for college admission to several colleges and universities in the state. This event was sponsored by the College Foundation of North Carolina.

During the week, seniors had opportunities to apply to college online through the foundation’s website at CFNC.org. A large number of colleges and universities in the state waive their admission fees during this week for online registrations.

A total of 171 seniors at Southern Vance High School, 135 seniors at Northern Vance High School and 35 seniors at Vance County Early College High School submitted online applications for admission during this period.

Last year, during the five-day period, in 117 school districts at 488 school sites there were 26,183 students submitting a total of 62,969 college applications online.

This year, a total of 341 high school seniors in Vance County took advantage of this opportunity.
