E.O. Young top reader recognized

Fifth-grade E.O. Young Elementary student Stephanie Pegram (center) accepts a birdhouse from Henderson Optimist Club president John Pecora (left) in recognition of her placement as top reader in the school through the Henderson Optimist Club’s Read and Win program. They are joined by the school principal, Marylaura McKoon. Optimist Club members have worked with students and teachers at the school throughout the year to encourage and motivate students to attend school and to read.
