Oxford Preparatory High School schedules plate sale for May 16
The Oxford area’s new charter school, Oxford Preparatory High School, will conduct a plate sale May 16, from 11 a.m.-6 p.m., across from CVS, 215 Williamsboro St., Oxford. Fried chicken/chopped barbecue plates, catered by Ted Wheeler, will be sold.
Delivery of large orders will be available to those in both the Oxford and Henderson. Plates (at $8 per) may be obtained from members of the school’s board of directors and parents of students who have been admitted.
Proceeds will go toward initial start-up expenses for the new school.
This new, independent public charter high school will be located on Landis Road, just off Salem Road, on the outskirts of Oxford. Opening with as many as 100 ninth graders in August, students from both Granville County and Vance County will be served
