Eaton-Johnson students compete for pi

Students in Tamala Anderson’s math class at Eaton-Johnson Middle School recently studied the number pi and competed in a Pi Day challenge to memorize as many digits of the irrational number as they could.

The students had one week to prepare before the competition.

Zairea Davis placed at the top of the contest, reciting 62 digits.

Alajhasha Williams placed second, reciting 38 digits.

Lemond Rogers came in close third, reciting 33 digits.
