Imagination Art Station coming June 24
Local students will have an opportunity to learn various arts and crafts when Imagination Art Station 2013 starts June 24. Spaces are still available.
Some of the topics participants can learn about this year are African drumming and dance, beginning theater, singing, scrap booking and story quilts.
Children who did not bring home a form from school may stop in at the children’s desk at Perry Memorial Library to pick one up. Students enrolled in the free lunch program may sign up for the camp for only $20; it will cost $50 for all others. Participants should bring with them at least 15 photographs of friends and family members.
College students and high school seniors needing community service credit, as well as any parents, should call Dr. Alice Clark Sallins at (252) 915-6118 for information about volunteering to assist in activities or serving lunch to camp participants.
Vance County Schools, North Carolina Arts Council, Hardison and Cochran Law Firm, Judge Randolph Baskerville and Atty. Nathan Baskerville are sponsoring this year’s camp.
