Lake Gaston Association: Lake wildlife topic of LGA meeting

During the next meeting of the Lake Gaston Association, scheduled for Wednesday, at 9:30 a.m., the speaker will be Frank Newell, a wildlife specialist with the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, Wildlife Services Division (retired). The meeting will take at Lake Gaston Baptist Church, N.C. 903, 1 mile north of Eaton Ferry Bridge, across from the Subway Restaurant.

Newell, a licensed state and federal wildlife rehabilitator, will discuss the type of wildlife one should expect to find along the banks and in one’s neighborhood.

The meeting will be held at the Lake Gaston Baptist Church located on N.C. 903, 1 mile north of Eaton Ferry Bridge, across from the Subway Restaurant.

The numerous association committees — Public Safety, Lake Environment, Government Relations, Marketing and Membership and Lake Clean Up — will also discuss the various activities they are working on. The association has allotted time at this meeting for attendees to present lake-related issues or concerns to the board.

The meeting is open to both members and non-members.
