Hospital to host April “Snacks & Facts” on staying healthy

On April 19, Maria Parham Medical Center will continue its community outreach efforts into Warren County when it hosts a free Snacks & Facts program, “Keeping the Doctor Away: Beyond the Apple.” This presentation, conducted by Patricia Smith, MD of Four County Primary Care, will focus on steps that one can take to maintain good health, such as keeping up with annual exams and immunizations.

This event will take place at the Warrenton Rural Volunteer Fire Department, starting with lunch at 11:30 a.m. The presentation will follow, with a question and answer session afterward. Those attending will receive handouts and giveaways. Attendees are requested to arrive no earlier than 11:15 a.m.

The presentation and lunch are free; however, attendees are required to RSVP Jeannie at (252) 436-1401 no later than April 18, at 2 p.m., so that lunch arrangements can be made. RSVP’s should include the attendee’s name and the party number. Calls to cancel a reservation should be received by the deadline as well.
