Estate Planning 101 Workshop: Giving the ‘Gift of Love’
No one likes to think or talk about dying, but, the fact is, we all will, sooner or later. Have you made things as easy on your loved ones as possible when your time has arrived? Have you completed ....
• a will?
• letter of last instruction?
• durable power of attorney?
• health care power of attorney?
• living will or 5 wishes?
If not, show your family how much you care by leaving this gift of love. These are documents everyone should have regardless of the size of estate.
The public is invited to attend The Gift of Love: Estate Planning 101 on April 17, from 1:30-3:30 p.m., at the North Granville Senior Center in Stovall, which is handicap accessible. Granville County Extension agent, Joan Reid, will explain the purpose of the documents and how to complete them. Each participant will receive information and a 5 Wishes document.
Light refreshments will be served. The workshop is free, but one should register either by phone at (919) 603-1350 or visiting go.ncsu.edu/estate.
Sponsors of this event are the North Granville Senior Center (118 N.C. 15 North, Stovall) and North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Granville County Center.
If you don’t have a plan, the state has one for you, but you may not like it. Come see what you need to do. You’ll feel better when it’s done and so will your family members!
