Escobar to serve as governor’s page

Brianna Escobar, a student at Southern Vance High School, has been accepted to serve as a page through the Governor’s Page Program. She will be presenting the Boys & Girls Clubs of North Central North Carolina.

Boys & Girls Clubs throughout the state has been designated to provide pages during the week of April 22-26.

She will be assisting employees within the state government complex, either with a cabinet level agency or a Council of State office, with a variety of tasks. In addition to actually meeting the governor, she will have the opportunity to attend press conferences; participate in service projects, and tour historic landmarks and government buildings.

She is the daughter of Elida Escobar and Ruben Martinez of Henderson.
