College offers sewing course beginning Oct. 7
Vance-Granville Community College is offering a sewing course from Oct. 7 through Nov. 25.
The course will be held on Mondays from 6 to 9 p.m. on the college’s campus in Franklin County.
The course will be taught by Karen Boyd of Wake Forest. Topics will include picking out patterns, cutting fabric and sewing buttons, garments, tote bags pillows and curtains.
Input from the class will determine projects.
Students will complete usable items during the course.
Beginning sewers may register.
The cost of the class is $45.
To be eligible. students must be 16 years of age or older.
Registration in advance is required. The deadline to register is Tuesday.
