The Colonial Garden Club recently held its January meeting in the home of Vera Gatano.

Connie Wade of Butterfly Kissed Florist Designs presented a workshop on flower arrangements. The workshop focused on techniques to select, design arrangements and extend the life of multi-colored roses. The presentation also included the proper use of containers and filler materials such as grasses, ferns and more.

Judy Parrish, club president, presided over the business session. The session included a secretary’s report given by Catherine Frazier.

During the club’s December meeting, hosted by Jane Baker and Lou Reavis, members donated Christmas gifts to LifeLine Outreach to be distributed to families in need. The group also honored Maria Mills, who presented a live Helleborus to Perry Memorial Library.
