Third-, fourth- and fifth-grade students at Carver Elementary recently took a field trip funded by Duke Energy to the Marbles Kids Museum in Raleigh.

The third-graders participated in the Marbles Dollars and Sense program, learning how to earn, save and spend money responsibly.

The fourth- and fifth-graders learned watched the IMAX extreme weather documentary “Forces of Nature” and completed an educational lab.

Duke Energy provides free field trips to the museum for elementary schools in several North Carolina counties, including Vance and Warren counties.

The company also funded a new exhibit at the museum called the “STEMosphere,” which provides challenging brain teasers and math games.
