The Henderson Community Concert Association’s 2014-2015 five-performance concert series will mark the organization’s 30th anniversary.

The season will begin with a Live from Nashville performance on Sept. 26. The group is a Broadway-style extravaganza of country singers and dancers backed by a Nashville band.

Fernando Varela will perform at the second concert on Oct. 24. Varela became known as the tenor on the opera trio Forte on the television show “America’s Got Talent!”

The third concert will feature Steve Lippia in Simply Sinatra. Lippia will sing classics by Frank Sinatra and will be backed by a 10-piece big band.

The Chinese acrobatic troupe The New Shanghai Circus will mark the fourth performance in the concert series on March 13.

Karrnnell, a violinist, will tell “The story of the Fiddle” on April 24 to round out the season. His trio will also provide an outreach performance for area students.

Concerts will take place at 8 p.m. in the Vance-Garnville Community College Civic Center.

Season tickets are $55 for adults, $105 for couples, $10 for youth and $115 for a family.

Current season ticket holders can participate in the election of the board of directors during the association’s annual meeting scheduled for 7:30 p.m. June 2 at First Baptist Church in Henderson.
