College holding free grant-writing seminar
The Vance-Granville Community College Small Business Center has scheduled a free seminar entitled “Finding and Writing Grants” from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 11 at its Warren County campus in Warrenton.
The seminar will focus on how to get organized to prepare grant proposals, along with grant-writing tips. Topics will include how to be prepared as an organization, elements of a grant proposal, researching potential funders and building relationships with funders.
The instructor will be Karen Kennedy, community development manager for the Sanford/Lee County Community Development Department in Sanford.
Seating is limited, and participants must pre-register by Aug. 29.
