Lunch and learn focuses on heart attacks

Aug. 06, 2014 @ 03:45 PM

Maria Parham Medical Center, a Duke LifePoint Hospital, will host a free lunch and learn program entitled “Heart Attack Risk Factors, Signs & Symptoms” on Friday, Aug. 15. Presenters will be Dr. Robert Harrison, with Northern Carolina Cardiology, and Kellie Norris, RN, MPMC chest pain coordinator. They will also discuss early heart attack care.

A complimentary lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. in the hospital classroom, and the presentation will begin at noon in the auditorium. There will be a question-and-answer session afterwards, along with handouts and giveaways.
Although the event and lunch are free, RSVP to Jeannie at (252) 436-1401 by Thursday, Aug. 14, at 2 p.m. if you would like to attend, so that appropriate lunch arrangements may be made. Due to the high volume of calls, hospital staff are unable to provide call backs for reservations; leave a name and number of people attending in the message. If unable to attend, call back to cancel the reservation.
