Vermiculture (earthworm production) meeting scheduled

Taking place Monday, at 6:30 p.m., at the Vance County Cooperative Extension Center, 305 Young St., Henderson, will be a vermiculture meeting.

Described as the cultivation of earthworms for use as bait or in composting, vermiculture has the potential to increase income for both farmers and gardeners.

This meeting will focus on ways that earthworm production can be profitable, techniques to employ in vermicomposting, and the benefits of the practice.
