Women’s health focus at Gamma Chi meeting
The Gamma Chi Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International recently met at Robinson Ferry Restaurant in Warrenton.
During the meeting, Elizabeth Moseley, child health coordinator at the Warren County Health Department, gave a multi-media presentation entitled “The ABCs of Women’s Health Issues.”
Nancy Tunstall, chapter president, presented Moseley with a gift on behalf of the chapter in appreciation of her program.
During the business session, the chapter voted to accept eight new members, and two candidates were approved to receive financial aid.
In addition, the slate of officers for the 2013-2014 biennium was unanimously approved.
Chapter members contributed to the society’s project Schools for Africa, and brought supplies and Box Tops and Labels for Education to be distributed to beginning teachers and elementary schools in the county.
At the conclusion of the program, a raffle was held to raise funds to sponsor a team in the Warren Education Fund Spelling Bee in May.
