Early College application period begins

The application period has begun for the Vance County Early College High School for the 2014-2015 school year.

The Early College High School is a five-year program that allows students to complete high school and an additional two years of college course work at no cost.

The application process is open to all current eighth-grade students.

Applications will soon be available on the school’s website, vcsearlycollege.sharpschool.net.

Applications will also be available at a series of presentations offered by Michael Bullard, Early College principal, to students at Eaton-Johnson and Henderson middle schools.

In addition to several presentations offered to students, Bullard is scheduled to offer a 6 p.m. presentation for eighth-grade students and their parents at Eaton-Johnson on Thursday and another at Henderson Middle School on March 13.

The deadline to turn in an application is March 21.

Completed applications may be turned in to a guidance counselor at the applicant’s current school; mailed to Early College High School, P.O. Box 917, Henderson, NC 27536; or turned in at the school, located on the top floor of Building 2 on the Vance-Granville Community College’s main campus in Vance County.
