Oxford chapter of Les Gemmes to celebrate Founder’s Day
The Oxford chapter of Les Gemmes, Inc., will celebrate the founding of the organization at 11 a.m. today, Oct. 12, at the St. Stephens Episcopal Church in Oxford.
Dr. Stelfanie Williams will be the keynote speaker. Williams is the president of Vance-Granville Community College. She holds degrees from Duke University, Western Carolina University and N.C. State University, where she received her doctorate. During her community college career, she has held positions including director, dean and vice president. She joined Vance-Granville in 2012. Previously, she served as vice president of economic and community development at Central Carolina Community College in Sanford.
The chapter will be accepting new members at the celebration.
