Health department begins public health campaign

Apr. 16, 2014 @ 11:45 AM

The Granville-Vance District Health Department recently began a campaign to raise awareness of the importance of public health in Granville and Vance counties.

Part of a national effort led by the Association of Schools of Public Health, the campaign uses stickers with the slogan “This is Public Health” placed in various locations relevant to public health in both counties.

The department is also seeking help from civic organizations in each county to offer public information on health crises such as contagious and preventable diseases, food- and water-borne illnesses and natural disasters.
