The board of directors of the Masonic Home for Children has made a donation to the Granville Education Foundation on behalf of the home.

Dan Rice, chairman of the board of directors of the Masonic Home, recently presented a check to the Granville Education Foundation.

“Our Masonic Home for Children Board of Directors, in recognition of their continued work for our students and students of this community, extend our greatest appreciation for their resources, their programs and their partnership,” said Rice, an alumnus of the home. “This donation is a small token of that appreciation from my home.”

The foundation makes grants to teachers for creative teaching projects and focuses particularly on the arts, literacy and technology. Residents of the home attend public schools in Granville County.
