The Vance-Granville Community College History Club recently elected officers for the 2013-2014 year.

Officers include Jennifer Burns of Henderson, president; Morgan McFalls of Oxford, vice president; Jeffrey Worley of Butner, treasurer; and Jessie Hartley of Oxford, public information officer.

History instructors Victoria Klesmith and Natasha Thompson serve as club advisors.

The club meets in the V-Net room on the college’s main campus in Vance County. The room is equipped so that students may virtually attend the club’s meetings via two-way video in corresponding V-Net rooms on other VGCC campuses.

Membership to the History Club is open to any interested curriculum student.

The club plans to organize field trips, service projects and social activities.
