Rudolph graduates from leadership program

Sara S. Rudolph, chief executive officer of Franklin-Vance-Warren Opportunity, Inc., graduated from the Rural Economic Development Institute, sponsored by the N.C. Rural Center, this May. Rudolph was one of 36 participants from across the state and attended the training on a merit scholarship.

The Rural Economic Development Institute is an intensive, three-month training program designed fro those who lead rural communities. This year’s class included town administrators, community volunteers, business owners and a minister. The program provides techniques meant to improve participants’ leadership skills while imparting a comprehensive understanding of economic development to help put those skills into action.

Franklin-Vance-Warren Opportunity, Inc., is a non-profit community action agency serving Franklin, Granville, Vance and Warren counties through a variety of programs intended to combat poverty and promote economic self-sufficiency.
