Ruby Tuesday gives back to Mikey Brown Foundation

Oct. 05, 2013 @ 08:44 AM

Ruby Tuesday is participating in a fundraiser for the Mikey Brown Foundation this weekend.

The fundraiser is part of the restaurant's Community GiveBack program. The program will make a donation equivalent to 20 percent of the net sales from diners that bring in a Mikey Brown Foundation GiveBack flyer or mention Michael Brown or the foundation to their waiter or waitress.

The GiveBack period began Friday and ends Sunday.

Embrace Henderson, Inc., an organization of area churches, is sponsoring the event.

The Mikey Brown Foundation was started in honor of Michael Brown, who recently died at age 14 from a rare form of bone-cancer.

Part of the money raised for the foundation will be used to provide Legos to children in the Duke Pediatric Center.
