Hospital offers free breast exams

Oct. 05, 2013 @ 08:44 AM

Free clinical breast exams will be offered at Maria Parham Medical Center for the third year in a row to celebrate October as Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The exams will take place on Thursday, Oct. 17, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Women interested in a free exam should report to the information desk at the main entrance of the hospital for instructions and directions.

The clinical breast exams will be provided by healthcare professionals. Additional follow-ups and resources will be provided if the physical exam indicates that further testing is needed.

Information on self breast exams will be available and each participant will receive a gift bag.
