Taylor Evans (second from right) joins Zsarkee’la Cheek (far right) and Anjanar Alston (third from right) in an effort to get Northern Vance High School students to sign a banner as a promise that they will not text while driving. The three are members of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America chapter at the school. Evans is the chapter president. Together, they were able to collect more than 100 signatures from students. Several of the school’s faculty members also signed the banner. The banner is now on display in the front lobby of the school.
