Children who attend the day care center on the Vance County campus of Vance-Granville Community College and who are Temporary Assistance for Needy Families recipients, are members of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, from Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations households or are Head Start participants are automatically eligible to receive free meal benefits.

This is due to the day care center’s continued participation in the U.S. Department of Agriculture-funded Child and Adult Care Food Program.

Through the program, more than 3.2 million children and 112,000 adults receive nutritious meals and snacks each day as part of the day care they receive.

The meals are available at no separate charge to enrolled participants.

The VGCC day care center is open to the public and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability. Space is limited.
