College offers hand-stamped jewelry class

Vance-Granville Community College is offering a hand-stamped jewelry class on Nov. 16 from 10 a.m. to noon on the college’s main campus in Vance County.

Alison Beal of Wake Forest will be the instructor. She will lead students through creating a “mother’s birthstone necklace,” which consists of a circular charm with hand-stamped letters, birthstone crystals and a silver chain.

Students will leave the class with a completed piece of jewelry.

The cost of the course is $25 per person.

Space is limited and registration in advance is required. The deadline to register is Nov. 8.
