Hospital to host Lunch & Learn program on fall prevention

The next Lunch and Learn program to be held at Maria Parham Medical Center in Henderson will take place Friday. Members of the occupational therapy team at hospital’s rehabilitation center will present a program entitled “Preventing Falls: What You Can Do to Lower Your Risk.” They will discuss measures participants can take to lessen their risk of falls, including the use adaptive equipment to minimize the risk everyday tasks.

A complimentary lunch will be served in the hospital classroom at 11:30 a.m. The presented will be held in the auditorium, beginning at noon. After the presentation, a question and answer period will follow. Attendees will also receive handouts and giveaways.

Despite that fact that the event and the meal are free, those planning to attend should RSVP Jeannie at (252) 436-1401 no later than Thursday, at 2 p.m., so that arrangements for the meal may be made.

Call backs for reservations will not be possible due to call volume; however, attendees should still leave their name and the number of people in their party. Those who cannot ultimately attend should call back to cancel their reservations.
