U.S. Rep. George Holding recently visited the main campus of Vance-Granville Community College.

This was Holding’s first visit to the college. He is in his first term representing North Carolina’s 13th congressional district, which includes parts of Vance, Granville and Franklin counties.

Holding was accompanied by his district director, Alice McCall.

Both received a tour of the campus conducted by student ambassadors Theresa Chiplis of Norlina and Ruthie Davis of Warrenton.

The tour included the biotech lab, the automotive systems technology lab, the welding technology lab, the facility for the pharmacy technology program and Building 10, also known as the corporate campus.

Holding also toured the Semprius production facility across from the college campus.
