Chick-fil-A of Henderson recently partnered with HIS Radio for its Blanket Bundles campaign, which it sponsors annually. Individuals, groups and churches dropped off non-perishable food items tied in blankets, which were subsequently distributed to local ministry outreach groups, including the Men’s Homeless Shelter and Lifeline Ministries. Assisting with the effort were: (from left) Gail Reed, HIS Radio WRTP/WCCF, office manager; Charles Turrentine Jr., Henderson-Vance Men’s Shelter, director; Silka Boone, HIS Radio WRTP/WCCF, volunteer; Doug Buchanan, Chick-fil-A, general manager; the Chick-fil-A Cow; Derek Mason, Davis Chapel Missionary Baptist Church Youth Ministry, volunteer; and Susan Carter, HIS Radio WRTP/WCCF, volunteer. In addition to Henderson, there were drop-off locations set up in Raleigh, Garner, Fayetteville, Knightdale and Dunn.
