Blood drive scheduled for April 19 at hospital

For the American Red Cross Blood Drive to be hosted by Maria Parham Medical Center on April 19, the ARC Mobile Unit (bus) will be used. It will be positioned in the back of the hospital at the Physician/Employee Entrance.

Potential donors should be at least 17 years old (although 16-year-olds may donate with their parent’s permission), and be in good general health, weigh a minimum of 110 lbs. and have recently eaten a good meal when they arrive to donate. They should also have a photo ID on their person. In addition, they should drink plenty of water during the days leading up to the blood drive.

All eligible donors are urged to come out April 19. In particular, blood types O-, A- and B- are in short supply.

Walk-ins may attend the blood drive between 11 a.m.-2 p.m.
