Cherry Hill: Spring finale to commemorate Alice Vaiden Williams
Warren County’s historic Cherry Hill will present its third and final spring concert of the 2013 season Sunday, beginning at 3 p.m. The performance, featuring three members of the Meredith College faculty, will commemorate Alice Vaiden Williams.
Performing selections from Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven and Carl Maria von Weber will be the following:
• Jimmy Gilmore, a retired principal clarinetist with the North Carolina Symphony, and faculty member at both Duke University and Meredith College;
• Elizabeth Beilman, a current member of the symphony, serving as associate principal cello; and
• Kent Lyman, a Steinway artist who has worked as a soloist and chamber musician, on piano
A preserved mid-19th Century plantation home, Cherry Hill is located on N.C. 58 in the Warren County community of Inez.
Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for students and children under 12 are free. Tickets will be sold at the door.
