Paid summer internship available through Z. Smith Reynolds

Franklin-Vance-Warren Opportunity, a local Community Action Agency, has been selected as a host site for the Z. Smith Reynolds Foundation’s Nonprofit Internship Program.

To be able to submit an application, students must be enrolled full-time in a four-year college or university, reside in North Carolina (or be attending school in the state) and be financially eligible for a Pell grant.

The internships offer a range of exposure and skill-building opportunities in a particular area. These include: research, community outreach, public policy, communications, fundraising and social media. Additionally, interns will receive a taxable stipend of $2,400 for their participation.

To apply, students must submit a short essay, an updated resume and professional/academic references. Applications are available online at and must be turned in by 11:59 p.m. on Feb. 1.
