The Daisette Youth Garden Club recently held its April meeting.

For the devotion, each club member read an inspirational passage.

Navin Chavis, the club president, presided during the business session.

Nyesha Millers took the group on a tour of Edith Carroll’s flower garden.

The group identified flowers and shrubbery and held discussions about flowers they saw. Flowers that were in bloom included irises, forsythia and dogwood.

The group sang “Happy Birthday” to Dominique Anderson.

The meeting was adjourned with the youth reciting the garden club pledge.

The group also participated in the Litter Sweep clean up campaign in April by picking up trash on College and Winder streets and inside the King Kids Park on the corner of Montgomery and College streets.
