Annual passes available from U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

BOYDTON, Va. — Annual passes for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ recreation facilities are now available.

Each pass costs $30. (Anyone possessing an America the Beautiful Senior or Access Pass can purchase a pass for only $15. Golden Age Passports will still be accepted.)

Passes are valid for 12 months after the date of purchase and can be used at any U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Day Use Park nationwide.

At John H. Kerr (Buggs Island) Reservoir, annual passes may be purchased by one of two methods:

• In person — Stop by the Visitor Assistance Center at Kerr Dam, from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday,

• By phone — Call the Visitor Assistance Center at (434) 738-6143 and use your credit card.

Note: These passes are not valid at N.C. State Parks, Occoneechee State Park or Staunton River State Park.
