Training sessions, open houses set for master gardener volunteer program

N.C. Cooperative Extension is now accepting applications for the Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program. Residents of Vance and Warren counties wanting to learn more about gardening or joining a volunteer training program should consider signing up. Taught by local gardening experts, training will begin Jan. 22.

Open houses have been scheduled for Jan. 5., from 10 a.m.-noon, at the Vance County Extension Office (305 Young St., Henderson), and from 2-4 p.m., at the Warren County Extension Office (158 Rafters Lane, Warrenton). Experienced Master Gardeners will be on hand to field questions. Attendees will be served light refreshments.
