‘Fall Fun Fly Day’ slated for Oct. 5

The 95th Squadron Radio Controlled Model Aircraft Club’s annual Fall Fun Fly Day is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m on Oct. 5 at the club’s flying field in Gaston.

Pilots from Virginia and North Carolina will be flying their aircraft.

Various helicopters and airplanes will be on display.

Qualified pilots with trainer aircraft will be present to provide flying instruction to beginning pilots, no experience necessary.

A hot dog lunch will be available at noon for $5 per person.

Water and sodas will be for sale throughout the day.

During the lunch break participants will be able to walk the flight line, get an up-close look at the aircraft and ask the pilots questions.

Tickets will be available for a raffle prize.

The event is open to the public. Spectators may attend for free.

The field entrance is on the access road next to Redwine’s Part Sales on N.C. 46 and is marked with a club sign.
