The Daisy Garden Club held its April meeting at Peace Point Guest House and Retreat in Oxford with Vivian Bullock serving as hostess.

Edith Hare led a devotion that centered on serving others. Hare led the group in prayer, and they sang “I Come To The Garden” and “He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands.”

Barbara Carroll, the club president, conducted the business session. Bullock gave the Daisette Youth report, and the N.C. Federation of Garden Clubs, District 9, was given to members.

Juanita Cozart, president of the New Season Garden Club in Oxford, presented the program on microgreens, which are juvenile greens harvested after putting on their first leaves. A video was shown to the group on how to grow the greens. A question and answer period followed Cozart’s presentation.

The group sang “Happy Birthday” to Naomi Dixon.

Henry Floyd blessed the food, and Edna Hargrove gave thanks to the hostess and adjourned the meeting with prayer.

Special guests in attendance were Mary Alston, Christine Floyd, Cheryl Lemay, Lillie Moss and Dorothy Perry.
