Oasis of Hope ‘socks’ it to Carver Elementary

Carver Elementary School students recently received 405 pairs of socks from Oasis Hope Ministries as part of its “Community Connection Through Service” program. Those in attendance for the presentation were: (back row, from left) Nekisha Williams, guidance counselor; student council members Tyree Hendericks, Donna Glassco and Payton Heath; (front row, from left) council members Tizaerin Holden, Karla Cruz-Ocha, I’yanni Bullock, Ruby Aguirre, Amarciye Branch, Aniya Palmer and Mirella Castorela-Galindo; and LaVonda Williams, student council advisor. Apostle Alvin and Pastor Catherine Sledge, leaders of the ministry, were appreciative of the opportunity to contribute to the education of area students.
