Spring Green Missionary Baptist Church: A century and a half of ‘Faith, Fellowship and Service’

Over the course of this weekend, the Rev. Dr. George W. Wright Jr., pastor, first lady Daisy Wright and members of the Spring Green Missionary Baptist Church will celebrate the church’ 150th church anniversary. The theme for this celebration is “150 Years of Faith, Fellowship and Service: Pressing Forward to Build Up God’s Kingdom.”

To kickoff the celebration, an anniversary banquet will be held today, at 4 p.m., at the Warrenton Lion’s Den with the Rev. Thurman R. Davis, pastor of Jones Chapel Missionary Baptist Church of Laurinburg and Warren County native, serving as guest speaker. Tickets are available at $10 for adults and $5 for children (17 and under).

Then on Sunday, at 11 a.m., at Spring Green, 240 Powell’s Mill Road, Warrenton, Wright, the church pastor, will deliver the anniversary message during regular worship service.
