Shiloh Baptist Church: Youth Day to be observed, graduates honored Monday
Shiloh Baptist Church of Henderson will celebrate Youth Day and conduct an Honor the Graduates service Monday at 11 a.m.
Minister Stephen Williamston Jr. of Wake Forest, a rising high school senior at Wake Forest-Rolesville High School, will be the guest minister for the service.
Born in Raleigh, Williamston is the son of Stephen and Felita Williamston.
He became a Christian at an early age at Corinth United Church of Christ in Youngsville. He accepted his calling into the gospel ministry at age 12 and delivered his initial sermon at the River of Life Worship Center in Youngsville.
His current affiliation is with Macedonia New Life Church in Raleigh, where he was also licensed to preach. His responsibilities include: youth ministry, youth choir, the Males’ Choir, pastoral support, Street Outreach Ministry, Sunday School teacher, Bible study teacher, the Ushers’ Ministry and associate minister.
Williamston was invited to attend the Academy of Young Preachers in Louisville, Ky., to be inducted into the Young Preachers’ Hall of Fame in January of 2012.
He is currently working on reestablishing the Wake Forest-Rolesville High School Gospel Choir and preparing to undergo training with the Wake Forest Police Department in Chaplaincy.
