The Man-Up Youth Development Program recently held a community cookout where they served food to more than 300 community members and and provided school supplies and backpacks to more than 150 children.

The cookout was held on the Progressive Faith Ministry Baptist Church grounds.

Seargent Chris Dethmers of the National Guard supplied the backpacks.

Man-Up is appreciative for all of the donations and support they received for the event.

The program will have a car wash fundraiser on Sept. 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Advanced Auto Parts on Raleigh Road.
