Glenn Stallsmith is the incoming pastor of Harris Chapel United Methodist Church in Henderson.

Stallsmith, his wife, Sarah, and their three daughters live in the parsonage of Harris Chapel’s sister congregation, Salem United Methodist Church in Oxford. The family has moved to North Carolina so that Stallsmith can study for a masters of divinity at Duke Divinity School.

For the past 12 years, the Stallsmiths served as missionaries to the Phillippines with Wycliffe Bible Translators. Their training was in the field of ethnomusicology, so they worked with Filipino churches that wanted to incorporate new worship songs into their language.

Glenn and Sarah met as students at Asbury University in Wilmore, Ky. He is originally from Western Pennsylvania, while she grew up in the metro Atlanta area.
