3-day women’s conference begins Thursday at Davis Chapel

The WIND 2013 Women’s Conference for Walking in Divine Destiny will take place this coming week over three days at Davis Chapel Baptist Church, 742 N Chestnut St., Henderson.

The guest speakers will be as follows: Pastor Teresa Butler from Jesus House of Prayer for All People in Henderson on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.; Apostle Annie Hinnant from Power of Praise Tabernacle of Deliverance in Benson on Friday at 7:30 p.m.; Elder Jacquetta Bullock from New Direction Ministries and Divine Habitation Ministries International in Henderson on May 11, at 10 a.m., during the Mother and Daughter Workshop/Brunch; and Evangelist Edith Green from Greater Refuge on May 12 at 11 a.m.

Born and raised in Goldsboro, Butler lived most of her life in Brooklyn, N.Y. There, she preached in the streets six days a week, committed herself to Bible study three nights a week, and held a full-time job at the local board of education.

Hinnant was born and attended school in Clayton. She received at bachelor’s degree in behavioral science with concentrations in psychology and sociology from Shaw University in Raleigh. She is furthering her education at Apex School of Theology in pursuit of a Doctorate in theology and pastoral counseling.

Bullock is founder and executive director of two non-profit organizations, T.A. Byrd and New Direction Ministries. She also serves at Divine Habitation Ministries. She is certified in pastoral counseling from Duke Divinity School of Theology  and the American Association for Christian Counselors and Health Insurance Association of America.

Green was born into a religious family in Richmond, Va. She has credentials in health, human services, and has worked with Vance County Mental Health for 28 years.
