Tally Ho First Baptist Church: Puppets deliver the gospel for Rev. Nutt, family

Jun. 29, 2013 @ 02:25 PM

Through November, God’s Puppet Squad is performing a new service called “Stand Firm,” when they are scheduled to begin their new Christmas service, “Elmer and Ralph’s Super Christmas Spectacular.” “Stand Firm” will feature newscaster Cameron Camel and the Christmas service will feature two variety show hosts along with a cast of black light puppets.

The Rev. Eddie Nutt, pastor of Tally Ho First Baptist Church in Stem, his wife, Susan, and their two children, Will and Caroline, formed the squad in 2012 in order to reach out to members of the community who may not attend regular Sunday worship services. The ministry’s goal is to present the gospel in such a way that everyone can comprehend it while simultaneously adhering to scripture.

The squad performs skits and songs designed to teach lessons in a way that is both entertaining and easy to understand. The puppets they use vary in size, shape, color and species.
