In the wake of the school shooting in Newtown, Conn., parents everywhere are concerned about addressing their children’s concerns appropriately.

To assist with that effort, University of Minnesota Extension has made available an updated fact sheet, “A Survival Guide for Parents of Teenagers: What if the next shooting is at my school?” This guide in accessible in English or Spanish at: extension.umn.edu/family/families-with-teens/resources-parents/.

Other resources can be found at that site for addressing the needs of teens as well. Anyone needing assistance in accessing this resource should contact Joan Reid at (919) 603-1350 or email: joan_reid@ncsu.edu.
